THE LIBERATION MOVEMENT
Music. Movement. Release. Joy.
Come home to your body and have the best time doing it.
Neurodivergent Affirming -Trauma-Aware - Wildly Good Fun
What this is..
A space built for women who have been through it. Whatever that looks like for you.
Imagine a space where you can shake it out,
let it go of stress, held emotions, fall apart a little
and feel completely free the whole time.
That's The Liberation Movement. Part somatic dance/movement, part communal joy, part rave with intention -it's a space for women who want to move, release and feel genuinely, deeply, ridiculously alive.
Through guided rhythm, music, somatic movement, breath work and touch, backed by neuroscience, biology and emotional psychology - powered by joy- we shake off what life's been throwing at you, find your feet again, and remember what it feels like to be genuinely, fully in your body.
No over explaining No choreography. No getting it wrong. Just you, the music, and a room full of women doing exactly the same thing.

Inside a session
What actually happens when you arrive...
Arrival and Settling
We start gently. Breathing together, grounding, coming in from whatever life has thrown at you. No rush. No pressure. Just landing. Sharing a cup of ceremonial cacao to open up your heart space and let the adaptogens flow round your body .
Guided Movement and Music
Jen guides you through somatic rhythmic movement sequences and self touch/tapping as the music builds, eyes closed, going inward. Then it's over to you to move however your body wants to. Intentional. Intuitive. No steps to learn -your body knows what to do- LET IT MOVE & FLOW!
Release and Joy
This is the bit women come back for. Something shifts. Tension moves. Unprocessed emotions are released. The body finds its own expression , your voice activates , you feel your confidence returning and it is often surprising, emotional and genuinely, properly fun.
Integration and Rest
We always close with a conscious connected breathing and meditation practice to support further emotional release, wind down, settle and process. We share food and chats.
You won't be sent out buzzing and scattered. We land together , held, settled, and glowy.

Why I created this ...for YOU!
Before I knew anything about neurodivergence, science or my nervous system- my body knew what to do....
I was the child dancing alone in her bedroom to the same song on repeat. The teenager barefoot in a field moving to music that felt like it was made for something inside me I couldn't name yet. The young woman who became a paid dancer and hostess, because moving was the only place I felt completely, unquestionably myself.
And then I took that same impulse into spaces that weren't always safe. I had some experiences that changed how I moved through the world, I lost my confidence, I started shrinking myself and hit rock bottom at one point.
So I changed my environment , and I changed the way I moved. From performing to listening. From losing myself to finding myself. Dancing, moving, expressing myself became the way back home to ME, underneath the masks and the trauma, I was still in there and so are you, the real you.
I have been in the holistic wellbeing space for 24 years, I trained in yoga, somatic trauma therapy, and used my lived experience to help others-movement has been a thread running through every single year of it . I've spent the last 10 years working with women recovering from trauma, abuse and SA- I found a common theme, they had lost themselves, their voice, their confidence and become disconnected from their body- The Liberation Movement is a proven way backed by science and soul to reclaim yourself, your body, your voice , your confidence- after whatever life has put you through.
This is a women only space because I know what it means to need one. The one that didn't exist when I needed it most.
The Liberation Movement exists because I found my way home through exactly this. And I want that for every woman who walks through the door.
The Liberation Movement is one part of Y:OUR Liberation RoadMap the Activate Your Inner Power stage, where we reclaim the body through movement, breath and joy. Because liberation isn't just something you understand. It's something you feel. In your body. On a dancefloor. With a room full of women who get it.

Neuroscience
Movement, touch and breath work activates the vagus nerve and shifts the nervous system out of stress mode, energy moves and you release unprocessed emotions, and what you didn't know you were holding.
Biology
Tension and unprocessed trauma are stored in the connective tissue, fascia and muscles, from the years of bracing and not feeling safe enough to release. Somatic movement, the breath and self touch/tapping helps to bring you out of survival/stress response into safety so you can complete the cycle.
Emotional Psychology
Steady, predictable beat patterns activate the parasympathetic nervous system , rest, digest, exhale. The brain stops scanning for threat. The body starts to play. You come out of functional freeze. This is the science behind why dancing feels so good and why it works so well.
Neurodivergence
Designed for nervous systems that need a different kind of space. No eye contact required. No performance expected. No verbal processing. The session structure is predictable, the music intentional, and the space held tightly enough to feel safe.

Who is
THE LIBERATION MOVEMENT for?
This is for you if any of this sounds familiar...
You are recovering from trauma, abuse or a difficult chapter and you are ready to reclaim your body, your joy and yourself
✦
You don't need a diagnosis, a heavy history, or a reason good enough. You don't need to be broken to want to feel more free. You just need to want to come.
✦
You feel disconnected from your body -like you've been living from the neck up and you're done with it.
✦
You want to move, shake, release stress- but you need a space that feels safe enough to actually let go in.
✦
You've been through something - and your body still remembers even when your mind does not.
✦
You are neurodivergent and most movement spaces have never quite felt right for your nervous system.
✦
You just want to have fun -proper, sweaty, joyful, free fun - in a room full of women who get it.
✦
You are ready — even just a tiny bit ready — to remember what free feels like.
MUSIC, FREQUENCY AND THE NEURODIVERGENT BRAIN
Your body and soul already know how to regulate - you just forgot to trust them. Rhythm, movement, and sound have been used across cultures to come alive, connect, and come home to ourselves. We didn’t invent this; we’re remembering it.
Modern life pulls us away from that instinct. We sit when we need to move, stay quiet when we need to sound, push through when we need rest. Eventually, we stop hearing our own signals.
The Liberation Movement is the invitation to turn back up: to the dance floor inside yourself, to the rhythm your nervous system has always understood, to the version of you just waiting for permission to move.
For neurodivergent brains -especially ADHD and autistic nervous systems - moving to rhythm regulates the body in ways sitting still cannot. The body finds its own beat, the mind steps aside, and something genuinely fun happens.
Sound frequencies are chosen intentionally for each part of the session - not just because they sound good, but because of how they land in the body. Some ground you, some open you, some make you move in ways that surprise and delight you.
60-80 BPM
Matches resting heart rate.
Grounding used for arrival setting and integration phases.
120-180 BPM
Activates the motor cortex and dopamine pathways, particularly potent for our nervous systems seeking movement and rhythm based regulation .
432-528 HZ
Sound frequencies used in the sessions. Associated with nervous system calming, cellular resonance and emotional release, used in the meditation part of the sessions.
THE BRIDGE — BREATHWORK
The Mind: thinking, analysing, controlling
The Breath: bridge between mind and body
The Body: feeling, knowing, releasing
Conscious connected breathing bypasses cognitive gatekeeping.
Moves you from performing to feeling, from thinking to knowing.
Woven throughout every session.
No experience required.
Your body already knows how to breathe , we give it permission to breathe and move fully.

"You don't have to understand it before you feel it.
You just have to let your body remember what free feels like "
